Shep,
Thank You for giving us the pleasure and honor of knowing you and allowing us to be part of your life. We will always remember your beautiful blue eyes and a positive attitude and willingness to tolerate children even when they didn’t understand what a dog was, other dogs regardless of their age, sex, or attitude and your ability to give love to anyone you came into contact with. You started out life mistreated and when you came to us you turned it all around and were always willing to forgive, of course only after you showed your disapproval with a look that can only be compared to the disapproval of an older sibling or parent or by exhibiting selective hearing with the person that offended you. You were a large part of our families life that spanned three generations of our family and no one that met you did not shed a tear when you passed. You were a lucky dog that did not know fences or tethering lines and when the leash came out it meant a trip in the car. Your desire to take your humans for a daily long walk in the woods meant more than a walk around the neighborhood, it was a true taste of freedom that not only refreshed our souls but brought joy to all of us. We will miss those walks, the way you communicated both vocally and with your actions more than our words will ever be able to say. We Will Always Remember You and have and will always Love You!!!
